Our Declaration
Additional Considerations
Undoubtedly, there is a lot of “point-counterpoint” debate and “fact-checking” that can go on with COVID-related truth claims. Nonetheless, we affirm the credibility and reliability of many scientists and medical professionals who have staked their character and reputation on claims and assertions that challenge the narratives that have been deemed “acceptable” in the mainstream.
Attacks on any of the claims of our declaration that are either uncivil or that are accompanied by logical fallacy should not be taken seriously. These often include “Appeal to authority”, “ad hominem attacks”, and “strawman characterizations”. They do not advance credibility to opposing views, and are in no way to contend with the seriousness of the claims, or those who make them.
Employers are following guidance that is, allegedly, grounded in science. At the same time, they have not allowed unfiltered questioning of this guidance, or provided any public open forum, but instead have advanced a carefully crafted narrative, and limited exposure of counter-claims. If it can’t be questioned, it isn’t grounded in science.
