GROUP FROM PENN STATE TO HOST SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS ON COVID IN STATE COLLEGE AND HERSHEY PA

Lions for Liberty, a group of University students, faculty and staff that rapidly grew in response to Penn State University’s policies and regulations surrounding issues of the pandemic, has faced resistance in seeking an inclusive voice on campus.

Two events, organized by Lions for Liberty, aim to provide that voice. Subject matter experts Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Bryan Ardis, Steve Kirsch, and Attorney Tom Renz will discuss COVID policies, early-treatment, hospital protocols, and vaccine safety and efficacy. The sessions will conclude with an open debate, discussion, and Q&A session moderated by Dr. Marsha Blakeslee.

“The group’s efforts to have an open discussion with the leadership at Penn State have, in essence, have been ignored or outright denied. We are now bringing the discussion to Penn State leadership through a public program, where the opportunity exists for academic discussion and debate with those from the University and from the community,” says Penn State alumni and Lions For Liberty Spokesperson Dr. Tracey Stroup, “and we urge the Penn State leadership, the COVID Task Force members, and the medical and local communities to attend and engage in these events.”

‘Science Uncensored: The Truth about COVID’ will take place Thursday, March 3, 6 p.m., at the Russian Baptist Church, State College, PA and Friday, March 4, 1 p.m., at the Hershey Lodge, Hershey, PA. Sponsoring the events is the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons. The Turning Point USA Penn State student chapter is also co-sponsoring/organizing the events. Both events are open to the public. Event registration [1] and additional information can be found at lionsforliberty.com [2].

Current public health and Penn State policies are not acknowledging the progression of scientific data and analysis. For example, there are 40 studies [3] (and emerging raw data) on vaccine inefficacy, over 400 studies [4] on the failure of public health COVID interventions, and over 150 studies [5] on mask ineffectiveness and harms, as well as the success of existing early treatment protocols.

Penn State administration continues ignoring or rejecting these developments, as evidenced by current policy [6] and University President Eric Barron’s statement, “…the health data is overwhelmingly that your risk of hospitalization goes way up without vaccination, and that masking, and social distancing, and vaccination are basically our protection.”, made during a University Faculty Senate meeting [7] November 30, 2021.

In the same meeting, Dr. Greg Shearer said, “from [Lions For Liberty’s] viewpoint, the concern is primarily that there don’t seem to be any countervailing viewpoints […] by people with expertise.” The inability to challenge the prevailing narrative seems to have led to a false-consensus of “the science,”. And, as Shearer noted, “If we get these issues wrong because of our biases, we are getting these issues wrong when it matters most. But also, we are losing out on unconsidered solutions.”
